Space Quest hints by Jeff Peterson

You are the janitor aboard the space ship Arcada. Walk to your
left, through the Library Room, and continue two more screens
until you come across a dead shipmate. Search him, you will find
a valuable Key Card.

Return to the Library Room and wait. A mortally wounded
scientist will enter the room. Go over to him and speak to him. 
He will tell you the words "Astral Body." Go over to the
Cartridge Retrieval Console and look at the screen. Enter the
words the scientist told you. After the cartridge is retrieved,
get it. Do not attempt to play the cartridge in the slot or a
Sarien alien will zap you into dust.

Use the elevators and halls to lower yourself two floors on the
ship. Go to the computer console by the three flashing red
lights. Look at the console and press the "Open Bay Door"
button. 

Walk to the right and enter the screen with the elevator. Insert
the Key Card into the console located just to the left of the
elevator. Enter the elevator to the lower level.

Exit the elevator and walk to the two closets on the left. Press
the "Left" button. When the door opens get the "gadget". Turn
the dial on the gadget. Press the "right" button. Get the space
suit and then put it on. Walk around the railing and down to the
console in the center of the room. Press the "Airlock" button. 
Exit the room through the Airlock door.

You are now in the Launch Bay. Go to the console and press the
"Platform" button. Walk to the left side of the escape Pod and
enter the Pod. 

Close the door and fasten your seat belt. Press the "Power"
button and "pull" the throttle. Once away from the Arcada, press
the "Autonav" button.

You have crash landed on the planet Kerona. Look inside the Pod
and get the "Survival Kit". Open the kit, then look around the
Pod again. You will see another Survival Kit; get it. 

Exit the Pod. Walk around and look at the right side of the Pod.
You will find some glass here; take it. 

Walk to the right along the lower portion of the screens to the
third screen. Follow the path up the mountain until you cross
over the archway. There is a rock here. This a good time to
save a game. Push the rock on top of the mechanical spider. Be
patient, it may take a while until he is in the right spot.

Continue up the mountain to the end of the trail. Stand between
the two arch-like tree trunks.

You have now entered the under-ground caves. Exit the elevator
and pick up the rock that's in the room. Follow the passage way
until you come to a grate on the floor. Cross the grate at the
very rear side. Place the rock you are carrying on top of the
steam geyser. Exit through the door that opens.

You are now in a cavern with a pool on the right. Avoid the pool
and travel through the various rocks to the rear of cave. When
you are at the rear of the cave, walk to your left. You will see
yourself walk by a hole in the cave wall. 

You are now in a room with electric beams guarding the path. Get
close to the beams and "use glass." Continue following the
pathway.

You will enter a cave that has drops falling from the ceiling. 
Get close to the nearest drop that is falling. As soon as the
drop hits the floor, start walking through the drops. If a drop
hits you, you will die. 

Continue following the path. You will enter a room and a Vision
will appear. If you can not read the words, you have forgotten
to turn the dial on your gadget.

You are now on the planets surface again. Follow the path to the
bottom of the mountain. Orat's cave entrance is located in the
mountain to the right of where the mountain path begins.

Enter Orat's cave and run behind the rocks at the bottom of the
screen. You are safe here. Throw your water at Orat. The water
cylinder will explode and kill Orat. A part of Orat will appear
in the right side of the cave. Get the part.

Return to the top of the mountain path and enter the caves
through the hole that appears between the two arch-like tree
stumps. 

Travel through the caves to the Vision. Upon his request drop
the Orat part. Exit through the door that opens.

You are now in an under-ground control room. Walk to the console
in the rear of the room. Insert the cartridge you retrieved in
the Library aboard the Arcada. Remember the self destruction
number that appears on the screen. After reading the screen, get
the cartridge. Walk over to and enter the skimmer. Turn the
key.

You are now on the surface and heading toward Ulence Flats. Save
the game before starting across the dessert. Setting the game in
slow mode may help you in crossing the rocky field.

You are now in Ulence Flats. A man will approach and offer to
buy your skimmer. Tell him "no" and explore Ulence Flats a
little. After exploring, return to the skimmer. the man should
return and offer you a better deal. 

Enter the bar and use your buckazoids at the slot machine. When
the slot machine screen appears, save the game. Always use F8,
three buckazoids. A good rule of thumb is save the game if you
increase your top buckazoids by 5 or more and restore the game if
you have lost more than 25 buckazoids. Be patient, this may take
a loooonnng time. When you have at least 200 buckazoids , the
maximum is 250 buckazoids, leave the slot machine. 

Go to the open end of the bar; buy and drink three beers, no more
than three. Listen for the sector of the Deltaur's location that
you over hear from the alien sitting at the bar.

Leave the bar and go to "Droids R Us." Enter and buy the droid
at the top of the steps. Walk to the outside left rear corner of
"Droids R Us." Look and you will find 5 buckazoids. Return to
the bar. Play the slot machine until you have at least 217
buckazoids. 

Leave the bar and go to Tiny's used space ship lot. Don't buy
any of the ships by Tiny's shop. Walk to the rear of the screen
and continue walking to the ship seen in the distance, Tiny will
follow you. Buy this ship from Tiny. Enter the ship and press
the "Load" button. Close the door. Enter the sector you over 
heard from the alien at the bar.

You are now outside the Deltaur. Put on the jetpack that you
received from selling the skimmer. Exit the ship and fly to the
airlock. Open the door and enter the Deltaur.

You are in the Airlock Room. Examine the room, after a few
moments, a maintenance droid will enter. Follow him through the
door when he leaves.

You are in a room with pipes along the rear wall. There is a box
in the corner and an old trunk in the middle of the room. You
have two choices.

Choice 1..."Move" the trunk. Open the trunk and put your jetpack
in the trunk. Close the trunk and climb on trunk. Open the
vent. Enter the vent and climb up the ladder. Exit to the right
at the next vent. "Kick" open and exit the vent.

Choice 2...Open and enter the trunk. Close the trunk. After a
moments you will be carried away. After you have stopped, open
the trunk.

You are in the Laundry Room. Open the washer door and enter the
washer. Stand-by for a cleaning. After the washer stops, open
the door and exit the washer. You are now wearing a Sarien Suit. 
Exit the Laundry Room.

You are now in a room with two elevators. Enter the left
elevator, the right one is out of order. Exit the elevator and
walk to your left. Enter the next elevator.

You are now on the top floor of the Deltaur. Speak to a guard
along the way; it will give you some points. Continue following
the hall and travel across the skywalk until you enter the
Weapons Room.

Look in your pockets. You will find an ID Card. Show the ID
Card to Weapons Droid. Quickly go to the end of the counter and
get a grenade before the droid returns. Exit the room.

You are on the skywalk. Stop directly above the guard below and
drop the grenade. Continue to the elevator and enter to the next
lower level. On your way to the elevator, your helmet fell off.

Exit the elevator and walk to the right. Going to the normal or
slow mode may help you from being turned into dust by a Sarien. 
Shooting a Sarien with your Pulseray Gun will get you some points. 
Continue following the hallway to the right.

You are in the room with the stolen Star Generator. Search the
dead guard and get the device. Press the button. The force
field around the Generator should now be off. Walk up the steps
to the Star Generator. Enter the four digit self destruct number
you learned in the under-ground control room on the planet
Kerona. Go to the elevator that was previously out of order.

Enter the elevator. Exit the elevator and walk to escape ship. 
Enter the ship and press the "Launch" button. You are now on
your way home to Xenon to become a hero.
